DRV + Bed Camera Relocation
Tundra & TacomaCustomers who added a topper, canopy, or camper and needed their digital rearview mirror camera relocated to the rear. Each section below shows a different topper type so you can find your exact setup.
ARE Aluminum Canopy — Pivot Arm Mount
2024 Tundra Crewmax Limited
Pivot Arm Mount
2024 Tundra Limited + ARE Aluminum Canopy
ARE builds aluminum high-rise canopies for trucks — the high-rise version provides full standing room inside the bed. Pivot arm mount screws to the interior aluminum ceiling, extending the camera through the rear glass with no adhesive, no glass drilling, and full adjustment range. The GG Offroad original pivot arm design.

Alu-Cab Aluminum Canopy — External Mount (Custom Build)
Tundra
External Mount
Alu-Cab Aluminum Canopy + Custom External Mount
Alu-Cab builds expedition-grade aluminum canopies out of South Africa. This customer went further — painting the GG Offroad ABS housing to protect it from UV degradation and match the Alu-Cab's powdercoat finish, then fabricating a custom aluminum protective cover over the entire mount assembly. One of the most purpose-built installs we've seen.

Leer Fiberglass Topper — Pivot Arm Mount Installation Photos
2023 Tundra Platinum
Grommet Cable Passthrough
Factory rubber grommet sliced to route the DRV cable through the cab-end wall of the Leer fiberglass topper. The grommet seals around the cable naturally. This customer also added machine sealant for extra weather protection at the entry point.
2023 Tundra Platinum
Cable Routing — Interior Edge
Cable zip-tied along the interior edge of the Leer fiberglass shell, running from the cab wall toward the rear. Leer shells have a clean interior liner that makes routing invisible from outside once the topper is closed.

Finished Install — Pivot Arm Interior
Completed install with pivot arm screwed into the Leer fiberglass interior ceiling near the rear window. Camera positioned through the glass. Clean cable run along the interior perimeter — invisible from outside.

Under-Truck Cable Management
The DRV cable runs from the distribution block under the bed, alongside the factory Toyota harness. Cable ties every 6–12 inches, looped in wide bends — never kinked. The foil-shielded cable requires minimum 2-inch bend radius to protect signal integrity.
Tune M1 Topper — External Mount

Tune M1 Composite Topper — Modified External Mount
The Tune M1 is a composite overland topper with a distinctive rear panel design. This customer adapted a GG Offroad external mount to the rear panel, positioning the camera just above the LED brake light bar — a precision integration that looks like it shipped from the factory. Bed view camera fully functional with DRV kit.

Mount Detail — Brake Light Integration
Camera housing sits directly above the LED brake light strip on the Tune M1 rear panel. The stainless mounting hardware is visible — tight, clean, and functional. Shows how the external mount adapts to a non-standard topper surface.
SmartCap Stainless Steel Topper — Suction Cup Mount
Tundra
Suction Cup Mount
SmartCap Stainless Steel Topper + Suction Cup Mount
SmartCap builds their toppers from stainless steel — heavier and more durable than fiberglass or aluminum, with a distinctive look. The suction cup mount presses to the interior rear glass panel with no drilling or permanent modification. Removable in under 30 seconds — ideal for toppers that come on and off seasonally, or any setup where you don't want a permanent hole.

Tacoma 2024+
External Mount
Soft Topper + External Mount
Soft canvas topper on a 4th Gen Tacoma with external mount drilled into the hard rear frame at the back of the topper. The mount is solid even on a fabric shell because it attaches to the aluminum frame structure, not the fabric itself.

Tailgate Camera Relocation
Tundra & TacomaSwing-out tire carriers, slide-in campers, pop-up campers, and flatbeds that block or remove the factory backup camera. Two kit variants: Tailgate-On (keep your tailgate) and Tailgate-Delete (tailgate fully removed).
Tundra TRD + Fleet Expedition Topper + Swing-Out Tire Carrier
Tundra TRD Off-Road
Tailgate Kit
Tundra TRD + Fleet Topper + Swing-Out Carrier
Fleet builds heavy-duty diamond-plate aluminum toppers for work and expedition use. Combined with a full-size swing-out spare tire carrier, both the topper and the carrier completely block the factory backup camera. The tailgate kit extends the camera signal past both accessories for full factory backup camera function — guidelines, parking lines, and no dash error codes.
Tundra TRD Off-Road
Fleet Build — Full Side Profile
Complete side view of the expedition build. The swing-out carrier adds significant length behind the truck — the tailgate kit routes the camera signal through all of it cleanly.

Swing-Out Carrier — Camera Mount Detail
Camera mounted to the swing-out carrier frame so it swings with the tire — the camera stays perfectly aligned with the backup path every time the carrier closes. No realignment needed after swinging out for access.

Tailgate Kit
Tacoma + Four Wheel Pop-Up Camper
Four Wheel Campers are slide-in pop-up truck campers that sit in the bed and extend over the cab. With the camper installed, the factory tailgate backup camera is blocked by the camper body. The tailgate kit extends the camera signal to a new mount position at the rear of the camper — full backup camera function restored with no modifications to the truck.

Camera Mount & Cable Routing Detail

Tailgate Delete
Tacoma + Slide-In Camper — Tailgate Delete
Tailgate removed for the slide-in camper. The Tailgate-Delete kit uses a plug-and-play adapter that connects directly to the factory tailgate connector port — no splicing, no cutting, no error messages. Full backup camera function with guidelines in under 45 minutes.
Tacoma 2024+
Cable Routing — Factory Connector to Camper
Cable routed from the factory tailgate connector position to the camera's new mount location at the rear of the slide-in. Protected by the camper body from road debris and weather.
